Peter Gal

Chief Creative Officer, Television

Dreamworks Animation

As head of television development for DreamWorks Animation, Peter oversees the creative development of all original television projects for the studio and currently manages the production process for Turbo FAST– the first original kids series for Netflix.  Prior to DreamWorks Animation, he spent three years as Vice President, Production at 20th Century Fox Feature Animation, where he served as Production Executive on Rio! and also developed the Angry Birds Rio Edition game.  Peter also enjoyed five years at Nickelodeon, where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Animation Development.  In this role he developed original animated series for Nickelodeon, including Mr. Meaty,El Tigre, Wayside, Mighty B!, Making Fiends and Penguins of Madagascar.  Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Peter served as a development executive at both Walt Disney Television Animation and Disney Channel.

He was formerly a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney and Deputy Public Defender with the firm of Dewey Ballantine. Peter holds a BA from Tufts University and a JD from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law.
