Jesse Cleverly

Creative Director

Wildseed Studios

Jesse Cleverly is Creative Director at Wildseed Studios, a next generation entertainment company investing in new creators and new ideas; nurturing talent and creating fresh, exciting and original content for the digital age.

Over the next three years Wildseed will make 50 x £10,000 investments into new content with further funds available to get behind projects that make a connection with an audience. Wildseed moves fast, fails quick and cheap but is ready to invest time, money and energy into projects with the potential to be successful.

Pilots don’t have to be films - they can be apps, games, books, live events – great content is what we aim to enable and we want that to be free to flourish on whatever platform it is best suited to. Wildseed Studios’s mission is to enable new creators (and established creators interested in working in a new way) to do great work, take risks and be creatively brave. The studio does not seek to creatively control the projects we invest in but we do advise, mentor, support, market, sell and monetise the content, and share in its success with the Creators.

Prior to establishing Wildseed Studios  was CEO and Creative Director at Connective Media,  a solutions company that created and delivers digital content  strategies via specifically designed IP for a range of international  clients. Before that Jesse was Head of Co-Productions and Acquisitions for CBBC at BBC Children’s, having moved up from the role of Executive Producer that saw him develop and  produce a large number of live-action and animated projects, including Desperados (winner of a Prix Jeunesse Award in 2007).
