SVP, Distribution & Acquisitions

Aardman Animations Ltd

With 20 years of experience in international distribution, Alix started her career at Channel 4 selling over 3000 hours of programming across factual, animation, drama and feature films.  Following her passion for animation, she decided to specialize in children’s programming and brands, joining newly formed Entertainment Rights (now DreamWorks) where she was responsible for driving the roll-out of children’s brands such as Postman Pat, Transformers and the Barbie films in key territories.

Alix joined Aardman Animations in 2006 to set up its new dedicated TV, DVD and digital distribution division, Aardman International, which is now a part of Aardman Rights. She spearheads global partnerships for Aardman’s award-winning portfolio of stop-frame titles such as Shaun the Sheep and Wallace & Gromit and financing for new titles on the development slate.  Alix also acquires distribution rights for 3rd party programming such as Walker Productions/JAM Media’s pre-school show Tilly and Friends and C4/Lupus Films/Penguin’s film The Snowman and The Snowdog. As well as managing her sales team, she directly handles Aardman’s activities in North America, Germany, France, Australia and Latin America.
