Jonathan Finkelstein

Apartment 11 Productions

Jonathan Finkelstein has created 7 television series for young people, and produced more than 800 half-hours of television that have been audience favorites and received multiple international awards.


Jonathan’s series produced at Apartment 11 include Mystery Hunters, Prank Patrol, Surprise!  It’s Edible! Incredible! In Real Life, Way Off Broadway, Cross Country Fun Hunt and Finding Stuff Out.  He also executive produced, produced and co-wrote the documentary Braindamadj'd... Take II, directed by Paul Nadler. The film won the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award and has been screened around the world.


Prior to forming Apartment 11, Jonathan was the creative force behind several scripted and non-scripted series for teens and tweens. He was producer, writer and story editor for the science and technology adventure series Popular Mechanics for Kids, syndicated in over 90% of the US market and seen on Global television network in Canada; co-creator and producer of the series YAA! To the M@X for YTV; co-creator of the kids food and cooking series Fun Food Frenzy for TV Ontario; and senior producer of Street Cents, CBC’s irreverent, long-running consumer affairs series for teens.
