Brian Wright

Nickelodeon Group

As Senior Vice President of Live-action Development for Nickelodeon, Brian Wright oversees all development and pilot production for live action shows on Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, TeenNick and the network’s international co-productions. 

Wright joined Nickelodeon in 2007 as Vice President of Live Action Development. He has shepherded a number of series from pilot to air including: Big Time Rush, BrainSurge,Victorious, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, Supah Ninjas, How To Rock, Marvin Marvin, as well as the network’s latest roster of live-action hits, Sam & Cat, The Haunted Hathaways and The Thundermans.

In addition to his Nickelodeon duties, Wright guided Nick at Nite’s foray into original programming, developing a slate of original family sitcoms including the Scott Baio series, See Dad Run, and Instant Mom, which stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict.

Wright started his television career as crew member of NBC’s hit show, Scrubs. Afterwards, he worked for comedy writers Scherick and Ronn at Touchstone Television and later with Greg Berlanti’s production company at Warner Brothers Television.  In 2005 he moved to Lifetime Television Network, where he developed Army Wives and oversaw the critically-acclaimed Jane Lynch series, Lovespring International.
