After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in London and graduating from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business with an MBA degree, Tim worked in Investment Banking in Europe before moving to Australia in 1976.
He started working in the Film and TV industry in 1983 and became extensively involved in the financing and production of Animation for film and TV over two decades, holding senior positions with Australian production companies Beyond International and Yoram Gross Film Studios (now Flying Bark). Tim co-founded the production company Sticky Pictures in 2002.
Tim’s Executive Producer credits include the animated TV series Blinky Bill, Flipper & Lopaka and Old Tom (for Yoram Gross Studio), Yakkity Yak (for Kapow Pictures), Pearlie and Dennis & Gnasher (for Sticky Pictures).
In 2007, he was appointed Executive Head of Children’s for Australia’s public broadcaster, ABC TV, and became Controller of Children’s in 2010. In these roles, Tim led the launch of digital school-age channel ABC3 in 2009 and the re-launch of pre-school channel ABC4Kids in 2011. He was also responsible for ABC’s educational programs and on-line content for children, including two dedicated portals.
Tim left ABC TV in September 2013 and now provides Consultancy and Executive Producer services through his company, Pacific Vision. Tim is a founding Board member of the Asian Animation Summit.
