Awol Animation

A Froebel trained B.Ed grad of Trinity College, Dublin in her first life. Three years and 45 kids in the classroom later, ran away to see the world. Did, then moved to Paris taking first steps in the animation business at L&M entity, VIP, in 1993. Enthralled by the mix of rocket scientists, arts graduates and poets encountered in the business, followed up with stints as Head of International Distribution departments at Mediatoon and Gaumont-Alphanim France, before – on the advice of a true friend in a Cannes moment – jumping off the cliff and creating awol animation in 2004. Still there!

Significant representations include the award winning Kioka from Goldilocks Studio Korea, Tobi from Little Airplane Productions NYC and, during awol animation chapter one days, Sid the Science Kid from The Jim Henson Company.

Former committee member of the CNC Innovation Fund, pre-selection jury member at Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Invited Speaker Cartoon Connection Korea 2012, Cartoon Finance Dublin 2012, Kidscreen Summit NYC 2013.
