Pierre Sissmann

With more than 25 years of experience in the development, production and distribution of cultural and entertainment products, Pierre Sissmann has been involved, for more than twenty years, in TV channel launches, music production and distribution and even in the creation of a press group.

Pierre Sissmann spent ten years at Sony Music, where he was VP Europe for Marketing and Promotion, and then decided to join the The Walt Disney Company, second most important major in the leisure, entertainment and media industries around the world. He then spent the next eleven years in this company, where he became President for France, then Executive VP for Europe, Middle-East and Africa, in charge of all the divisions of the company.

Among other projects, Pierre Sissmann created Walt Disney Animation France, the biggest European animation studio, which produced animation films for TV and for the cinema, such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Tarzan. In 1996, he created and was the first president of The Disney Channel France.

Very much into starting new businesses, Pierre Sissmann then cofounded in 1999 and currently co-chairs Cyber Group Europe, a personal holding company, which contains a VC fund Cyber Capital,  specialized in leisure, entertainment, sports and medias industries' strategic consulting with such clients as Eurosport or MTV.

Pierre Sissmann also co-founded Cyber Group Studios, a French company which produces and distributes TV programs around the world. Today nominated for an International Emmy for its production of ZOU and recipients of more than 12 awards in eight years, Cyber Group Studios is one of the leading European animation studios with its upcoming production of Zorro and coproduction of Mini-Ninjas and one of the world leaders in preschool animation. Cyber Group Studios through its distribution division also caters directly to over 160 clients around the world, with its own productions and those it represents.
