Sergi Reitg holds a Graduate Degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Management and Business Administration. He entered the world of animation 18 years ago. After having founded his own financial consultancy and led the international expansion of a pharmaceutical company, he entered the animation sector through Cromosoma, where he was General Manager for more than 6 years.
He has been the executive producer of 15 animation series sold internationally (some of them, highly successful series produced in this country as The Triplets, Lola & Virginia, Sandra The Fairytale Detectetive and recently, Lucky Fred, sold in more than 165 territories) and he is an expert in the development, financing and marketing of all types of cartoon productions. In 2003, he founded Imira Entertainment with Myriam Ballesteros. In the last 12 years, Imira Entertainment has positioned itself as an internationally successful company in the production and distribution of animation and fiction series and films for children and teenagers, specializing in digital contents, developing and marketing the projects in order to create products for a global market, in all business areas. IMIRA’s catalogue includes more than 4,000 half hours of animation as well as feature films and fiction series.
In addition, he is Vice-president of DIBOOS (Spanish Federation of Animation Producers), and member of ANIMATS (Catalan Association of Animation Producers).
