Michael Ross serves as General Manager of the Family division at Maker, overseeing programming across an array of verticals including cartoons, live-action, kids, science, education, pets, fantasy and more. Maker is the global leader short-form video bringing together a diverse community of YouTube creators and global franchises as part of The Walt Disney Company. The company is home to the biggest digital stars and leading programming such as the hugely popular online series Epic Rap Battles of History and is the largest content network on YouTube. Prior to Maker, Michael was President of Threshold Animation Studios, which produces content for Lego, Marvel, DC, Disney, Universal Studios, Cartoon Network, and ABC Digital among other networks, themed entertainment and digital destinations. Before joining Threshold, Michael was Head of Production and Post Production and part of the start-up team for the Hub Network, a Discovery/Hasbro joint-venture cable television network. Before the Hub, Michael headed up development and production at Disney’s The Baby Einstein Company and Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Michael is a graduate of Harvard University and holds a B.A. in Creative Writing, along with an M.A. from New York University in film and television writing, directing and production.
