Tom McGillis is an Emmy® Award-winning executive producer, writer and series creator, specializing in children's and family entertainment. He is President and Co-Founder of Fresh TV, a world leader in creating television that powerfully connects to kid, tween and teen audiences around the world.

Along with creative partner Jennifer Pertsch, McGillis has created a string of hits that have aired around the world and enthralled a generation of kids with their riveting plots, real characters, sticky dialogue and serious laughs. TV series include Total Drama Island, My Babysitter's a Vampire, Really Me!, 6TEEN and Stoked. He is also the creator of the TV movies, My Babysitter's a Vampire and Bunks, a zombie comedy (or zomedy), which aired on Disney Channel.

Total Drama, the company’s flagship show, was a massive hit when it launched on TELETOON (Canada) and Cartoon Network (US). Currently in its fifth season, it has a large and fanatically loyal fan base with over 1 million Facebook fans and thousands more who daily engage with the brand on Deviant Art, FanFiction.net and Wikia. The list of Total Drama characters is the sixth most edited article on Wikipedia, surpassing both Barack Obama and The Beatles. The franchise will relaunch this summer as the spin-off series, Total Drama Presents The Ridonculous Race.

Other Fresh TV successes include Canada’s first internationally recognized tween brand and #1 TELETOON hit — 6TEEN — and the live action adventure comedy, My Babysitter's a Vampire. An instant smash hit for the Disney Channel , My Babysitter's a Vampire also ranked #1 in its time slot for kids two-11. Awards and nominations include Canadian Screen, Gemini, Emmy® and Kidscreen Awards as well as the prestigious Shaw Rocket Prize for My Babysitter's a Vampire.

Tom McGillis leads the Fresh TV development team on projects in collaboration with networks in Canada and the United States.
