Scot McFadyen is an award-winning director, producer and music supervisor, and the co-founder of Banger Films. Scot’s first feature documentary Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, won a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Documentary and was released theatrically and on DVD in over 40 countries. The success of Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey allowed Scot to grow Banger Films into one of the world’s best-known documentary filmmaking operations focusing on heavy metal and hard rock; his work has won several Juno Awards, festival awards and earned a Grammy nomination.
In 2013, Banger launched a full service kids’ programming division, B-Minors. B-Minors is responsible for adventure-based special The Grizzly Cup, Big Ticket Summer Concert Special, and Gaming Show (In My Parents Garage) – which is quickly becoming the go-to gaming series for kids.
Scot currently lives in Toronto.
