Scott & Julie Stewart are award-winning content creators and entrepreneurs based in Vancouver, Canada. They currently own and operate Team Stewart, a boutique entertainment company that incubates story concepts (both internal and external) and brings them to fruition across multiple media streams.
The pair believes that collaboration is the key to success, which means creators and creative thinkers have a loud voice on Team Stewart. The company’s philosophy is that ‘everyone can cook’ and everything is made better when there’s a strong team behind it. From broadcast, to publishing, to feature film, the company’s goal is to tell compelling stories that resonate with audiences around the world.
Scott & Julie began their career in the kids’ business in 2002 with Gecko Kids, a creative computer studio for children, and Speakeasy FX, which produced animation for multiple clients, including Sesame Workshop’s Emmy-winning Abby’s Flying Fairy School. In 2012 they leveraged both ventures to become full-time content creators, starting with the girl-empowering series Kate & Min-Mim, which airs in over 80 territories, including Disney Jr in the US, Cbeebies in the UK and SuperRTL in Germany. The series has ranked as the number one show in its time slot on every platform it has launched on to date. The Stewarts are currently show running the second season at DHX Media, with the help of three budding creative execs: 12 year-old William, 10 year-old Matthew and the eponymous 8 year-old Kate.
