Beth Cannon is Vice President of Development for DreamWorks Animation Television. She oversees all aspects of creative direction from inception, through development, and into current series production for a rapidly growing slate of original television projects. She reports to Executive Vice President of TV development, Peter Gal, and is part of the creative team tasked with developing original animated programming inspired by characters from DreamWorks Animation’s iconic franchises and upcoming feature films, Universal Pictures, in addition to projects based on original and acquired IP. Among the animated television series Cannon has developed at DWA TV are the upcoming reimagined popular 80’s series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Spirit Riding Free, Harvey Street Kids, The Adventures of Rocky & BullwinkleandHome: Adventures with Tip & Oh.
Prior to joining DreamWorks Animation Television, Cannon served in a development and current series role at Cartoon Network in addition to a variety of positions in development, script analysis, production and casting. She holds a BA from Regis College in Communications and Religious Studies and a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University School of the Arts.
