Migdalis Silva is Vice President of Programming and Acquisitions for Nickelodeon Latin America based in Miami.
In this role, Silva is responsible for developing the programming strategies for all of Nickelodeon Latin America’s platforms and channels in the region including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Nick 2, Nicktoons, as well as its non-linear platforms, the Nick Play App and Noggin, the network’s first preschool SVOD service. Silva also spearheads the acquisition of pan-regional and local content for the region and is responsible for developing annual, seasonal and special events strategies to grow engagement with Nickelodeon’s audience across various channels and platforms. In addition, Silva also oversees the Programming, Media Planning and Programming Operations departments for the network’s brands in Latin America.
Silva serves as the primary liaison between the Nickelodeon Latin America and Nickelodeon’s International Programming Council (IPC), working closely with the network’s global channels to support programming strategies.
A 20 year veteran of Nickelodeon Latin America, Silva began her career as a Programming Coordinator in 1997 and since then has held various positions that have moved her up in the ranks. Prior to this role, Ms. Silva was Senior Director of Programming and Acquisitions where she oversaw the day-to-day planning and scheduling of the network.
