Gary Pope

CEO

Kids Industries

Gary began his career as a school teacher and led an English Department before becoming a learning designer for a change management consultancy. A weird gig for Disney led Gary back to children and to launch Kids Industries.

Kids Industries solves problems, develops strategies, ideas and products as well as creating content for clients as diverse as Kellogg, TUI and eOne. As the only cross-discipline agency team that specialises in the family market on the planet, we use our expertise, experience and multi-award-winning capabilities to make children happy, parents satisfied and brands stronger Gary has led the design the new subscription product for WWF, created the EMEA strategy for Spirit Riding Free, developed Peppa Pig’s digital presence globally and led the development of built two entire TV Channels in MENA – from nothing to SVOD platform. Most recently Gary has led the KI team in the redevelopment of the family offer for Royal Caribbean Cruises - from the activities the families enjoy, through to the design of the interiors of the spaces that they use.

Gary is currently seconded to the biggest, most secret children’s media project that there’s ever been. Probably. Gary is a member of the advisory committee for The Children’s Media Conference, a regular writer and commentator for multiple industries and mainstream titles and is the recipient of multiple awards for marketing, content creation and strategy.

Gary maintains his interest in education as a school governor.
