Flavio Medeiros is the director of programming and acquisitions for Discovery Kids Latin America. His areas of expertise include children’s television, acquisitions and sales within the pay-TV industry.
Before joining Discovery in March 2013, Medeiros worked as vice president of sales for ITV Global Entertainment in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. Prior to that, he worked for the Walt Disney Company Latin America, as senior manager of programming and acquisitions for Disney Channel, Disney XD and Playhouse Disney Latin America.
Medeiros holds a communications degree with a specialization in advertising from the Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and also holds a master’s degree in business administration from FGV (Fundação Getulio Vargas).
Medeiros works at Discovery’s office in Miami, Florida.
