Jeff Brustrom is Vice President of Kids, Family, and Animation at IDW Entertainment, where he oversees development and production of a slate of animated and live-action programming, adapting graphic novels and comic books into series and features for streaming, cable, broadcast networks and other platforms. He was on the team that oversaw seasons 2-3 of Locke & Key for Netflix, and is Executive Producer of the upcoming live-action tween series Surfside Girls for Apple TV+.

Prior to IDW, he worked at Disney Channel as Vice President of Original Series. In his 17 years at the company, he oversaw series including KC Undercover (starring Zendaya), Bunk’d, Liv & Maddie, Austin & Ally, and Jessie. He developed the wildly successful Hannah Montana which went on to become a multi-billion-dollar franchise, Wizards of Waverly Place,Good Luck Charlie, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The Suite Life on Deck,That’s So Raven, American Dragon: Jake Long, The Emperor’s New School, and Lilo & Stitch: the series.

He started his career at International Creative Management (ICM) working in the TV literary, packaging, and talent departments. Later, he worked as Manager of Comedy Development at Fox Broadcasting Company and was on the team that developed That 70s Show and Malcolm in the Middle.

Brustrom graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies.
