Dan is currently the Assistant Commissioning Editor on the 0-6 Indie and Acquisitions team at BBC Children’s. He led the Children’s Stepping Out scheme (which ran qualitative research sessions with UK kids) for seven years. Before Dan joined the BBC he taught in Mainstream and SEN Primary schools (also for seven years) which makes him ideally placed to know what our youngest audiences want (and don’t want!) from us. Prior to all his work with children he also dabbled as a Reporter / Producer on local BBC Radio.
