An experienced producer with a background in feature animation and video game production at DreamWorks Animation (The Prince of Egypt and Shrek) and Electronic Arts, Kat Kelly Hayduk and her partner, Cam Hayduk, founded Turtlebox Productions in 2009, originally to produce web videos for nonprofits. In 2012, they decided to flex their creative muscles by producing a series of music videos for a local children’s musician. The music videos, Will’s Jams, were licensed by CBC Kids who commissioned two additional series in 2013 and 2014. Since then, Turtlebox has continued to produce videos for non-profits and also produce media for some of the biggest names in the kids’ television business such as Sesame Street, Peacock Jr, YouTube Originals and PBS Kids. They were nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for their work on Design Squad Global for WGBH/PBS Kids and they won a Kidscreen award for their preschool webseries for Peacock Jr called Maria, Mini-Explorer. Their latest project Ainara's Bookshelf sees 13-year-old Instagram influencer Ainara Alleyne introduce tweens to books that feature underrepresented voices, characters, and points of view.
