I have two decades in global licensing and merchandising. Building studios from nothing to over $1bn in retail sales. I ran Universal Studios EMEA operations and was a seed investor/ adviser in Calm.com, SuperAwesome (exit to EPIC), Kids Know Best and various other tech companies.
In 2020 I founded Toikido. We are building / launching brands and games with unique and fresh story / creative. In 2022 we sold 19m+ products in over 100 countries. We have had partnerships with Netflix, Skydance, major gaming studios and taking IP from the metaverse into physical products.
We are seeing shifts of how entertainment is consumed and used. The growth of influencers, creators and platforms. Todays kids heros can come from TikTok, Twitch and YouTube and the speed new creators and games spring up plays directly into the Toikido ethos and speed.
We have a big year ahead. Supporting and launching our partner brands, looking for new opportunities we can bring our expertise to and launching our first in-house IP – Piñata Smashlings. We have invested in a multi-million pound Roblox launch and products coming out globally in toys, publishing, fashion and more.
