Amy Takahara is the Director of Content Acquisitions for Nickelodeon at Viacom International Media Networks, a role she assumed in January 2016. Takahara is responsible for negotiating, sourcing and managing content acquisitions for Nickelodeon channels on a global, international and pan-regional basis. Working closely with the company’s programming heads in international markets, Takahara coordinates deals for Nickelodeon's more than 70 locally programmed channels around the globe.
Prior to joining Viacom International Media Networks, Takahara was Director of Content Distribution for The Jim Henson Company, where she was responsible for global TV sales of Henson’s catalog of content. She has also held content distribution, marketing and strategy roles at Mattel Inc. and FremantleMedia Kids & Family.
