David Voss is Senior Vice President of Mattel’s Playground Productions.
For the last twenty years he has been immersed in the play and entertainment business.
Working in every aspect of kids entertainment, David has managed many of the industry's most recognized and beloved brands, including Hot Wheels, GI Joe, Batman, Cars, Toy Story, WWE, and Barbie; and he has had the honor of working with some of the industry's best in class storytellers, including Warner Brothers, Pixar, Disney, Dream Works, Fox, and Cartoon Network.
In his current role leading Mattel's Playground Productions, David manages an entertainment development and production team whose mission is to bring branded content into the hands of today's kids--in the multiple new ways today's kids consume and contribute to content. He is at the forefront of the new need to maximize content's potential in a fractured and media savvy world. Beyond physical, beyond digital, beyond screen, he and his team have a single mission: to spark imagination and inspire play.
David has executive produced multiple animated titles across the Mattel portfolio including Monster High, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Ever After High, and Max Steel. He is acting as Mattel’s executive producer for Sony’s new Masters of the Universes feature film, and the Max Steel feature film with Dolphin entertainment set to release in 2015.
